Masks no longer required in County facilities
Posted: February 25, 2022
On February 25, the CDC issued new guidance that no longer recommends wearing masks indoors in communities where the COVID-19 Community Level is considered low or medium, regardless of a person’s vaccination status.
Because Gwinnett County’s COVID-19 Community Level falls into the low category, Chairwoman Hendrickson’s local emergency order mandating masks in County facilities will be allowed to expire Friday, February 25.
This means individuals will no longer be required to wear masks in County facilities. However, masks are still required in public transportation, including GC Transit buses.
Additionally, the expiration of Chairwoman Hendrickson’s local emergency order mandating masks in County facilities does not affect any Court order requiring masks in Court Facilities.
