Gwinnett’s EXCEL Class of 2024 collaborated with Sleep in Heavenly Peace Gwinnett Chapter to deliver and build beds for children in Gwinnett.

The mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace is to ensure that every child between the ages of 3 and 17 has a safe and comfortable bed to sleep in.

This year’s EXCEL class delivered and built 16 beds for families in Lilburn, Lawrenceville, Suwanee, and Norcross. The class also donated 50 pillows, 44 bed-in-a-bag sets, four sheet sets, and cash donations.

Since the start of the Gwinnett chapter, Sleep in Heavenly Peace Gwinnett has delivered 758 beds. To date, the organization has delivered 88 beds to children in Gwinnett County and is on track to provide more than 200 beds by year’s end.

These beds will help to provide the basic needs for a child’s physical, emotional, and mental support.

Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services also provided free smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to the families.
