The Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services graduated a class of 27 firefighters on August 2, 2013. Family and friends of the new firefighters, elected officials, and Fire and Emergency Services personnel attended the ceremony held at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville.

The new firefighters are: Caleb Billings, Cody Bishop, Chris Bradford, Brett Brooks, Jonathan Butler, Deven Chapman, Randy Conyers, Cody Corbin, Nick Donegan, Nate Doss, Spencer Ellis, Chris Holcombe, Brian Ingram, Wes Linhorst, Cody Long, Geoffrey Luby, Steven Mathews, Austin Nash, Brian O’Shea, Justin Owenby, Rusty Parker, Kevin Powers, Eli Quintana, Chris Smith, Lee Telemacque, Michael Vandegrift, and Brian Wages.
