GWINNETT POLICE ARREST SUSPECT FOR TRAFFICKING NARCOTICS

(Duluth, Ga., August 6, 2024)—The Gwinnett County Police arrested a suspect with trafficking amounts of methamphetamine.

On June 8, officers assigned to our Central Precinct Community Response Team, with the help of our K9 Unit, initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Lance Allen Meyer (age 33, Athens). K9 Mako conducted an open-air sniff of the car and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded just over 140 grams of methamphetamine.

Lance Allen Meyer was taken into custody without incident and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. He is currently detained in the Gwinnett County Jail.
