(Buford, Ga., May 16, 2024) – The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested a man with multiple outstanding warrants in a stolen vehicle just hours after it was reported stolen.

On April 30, officers assigned to our North Precinct located a stolen vehicle within hours of it being reported stolen from Jackson County. Officers made contact with a male inside the stolen vehicle who was later identified as Timothy Kevin Burke (age 46, Sugar Hill) in the area of Pass Court in Sugar Hill. Timothy had two outstanding warrants from outside jurisdictions.  The stolen vehicle was returned to the registered owner and Timothy was arrested for his two outstanding warrants and charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. Timothy was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail without incident.
