Gwinnett uses SPLOST funding to extend life of ambulances
Posted: September 30, 2024
Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services will extend the lifespan of 20 ambulances by remounting the patient transport compartment onto new frames instead of buying new units. This innovative approach not only saves an estimated 20 to 50 percent in the cost of refurbishing the ambulances, but it also promotes sustainability by reducing waste.
Life Line Emergency Vehicles was awarded two SPLOST-funded contracts totaling $5.3 million. To learn more about how your pennies work in Gwinnett, please visit GwinnettSPLOST.com.
