Lifestyle spending account
Gwinnett County funds lifestyle spending accounts for full-time benefits eligible employees to use on eligible expenses related to physical, financial, and emotional well-being. This benefit meets the needs of everyone, regardless of age, life stage, or circumstances, and is designed to enhance employees’ overall well-being. The County’s LSA will reimburse 50% of each eligible claim submitted. The lifestyle spending account is subject to taxation through payroll deduction.
A lifestyle spending account’s eligible expense list is extensive with a wide variety of options to choose from. There are three categories of expenses related to well-being: physical, financial, and emotional. Eligible expenses include:

- Financial adviser and planning services
- Financial seminars and classes
- Home appliances (refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher)
- Home purchase expense reimbursement (down payment, closing costs)
- Insurance (auto, home)
- Mortgage
- Professional memberships
- Rent
- Student loan reimbursement
- Utilities
