2017 Budget Review Meetings
Budget review meetings take place in late summer, near the end of the County's annual budget planning cycle. Representatives from departments and agencies present their business plans and proposed budgets to Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash and members of the budget review team, which includes several Gwinnett residents and County staff. This year, Nash has tapped six residents to help review needs and allocate resources for the 2017 budget.
The Chairman’s proposed 2017 budget will be made available to the public and news media at the same time it is presented to commissioners on November 15. A public hearing on the budget will be held on December 5. By County ordinance, the Board of Commissioners must adopt the annual budget during its first meeting in January.
