GWINNETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION LED TO INDICTMENT FROM THE GEORGIA ATTORNEY GENERAL
(Gwinnett County, Ga., October 25, 2022) – The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Section initiated an investigation into Mr. Sean Curry for human trafficking in January of 2022. This led to the October 19th indictment of Mr. Curry for one count of Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude [O.C.G.A. §16-5-46(c)] by a Gwinnett County Grand Jury. The indictment was presented to the grand jury by the Attorney General's Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Section was created in January 2021 as an initiative by Sheriff Keybo Taylor to combat gang violence and human trafficking. We thank the Gwinnett County Police Department and the Attorney General's Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit for assisting in this investigation as we continue our mission to make Gwinnett County a safer place to live.
Mr. Curry is currently housed at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, and no further information about this investigation will be released.
