SOLICITOR’S OFFICE TO HOLD SECOND ANNUAL DASH 4 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS 5K

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Oct. 2, 2024) – Step up, support and help raise awareness in the fight against domestic violence by joining Gwinnett Solicitor-General Lisamarie N. Bristol in the second annual Dash 4 Domestic Violence 5K.

"Lives are forever changed by domestic violence and it’s our responsibility as a community to stand with survivors and raise awareness about the resources available to help them," said Bristol. "The Dash 4 Domestic Violence Awareness 5K is more than just a race—it’s a call to action. By coming together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by domestic violence and work toward a safer, more supportive Gwinnett."

The race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 8 a.m. in Alexander Park, located at 955 Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville. In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, participants are invited to walk, jog, or run to raise awareness and support for survivors of domestic violence.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Mosaic Georgia, Partnership Against Domestic Violence and Ahimsa House, organizations dedicated to supporting domestic violence survivors.

Domestic violence is a critical issue that affects many people and the Gwinnett Solicitor’s Office is focused on educating the community and connecting individuals to essential resources.
