GWINNETT TO BREAK GROUND ON THE DACULA PARK ACTIVITY BUILDING EXPANSION
WHAT: Gwinnett officials will break ground on a project to renovate and expand the Dacula Park Activity Building to enhance programming for all ages. When complete, the two-story, 34,000-square-foot building will include a new gym that features a full basketball court, two half basketball courts, an upper-level walking track and more; art and dance studios; a full-service senior wing; and 76 additional parking spaces with future EV charging station infrastructure. This project is funded by Gwinnett’s SPLOST program and the Community Development Block Grant.

WHO: Parks and Recreation Department Director Chris Minor will emcee. Speakers include Gwinnett Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins III and Department of Community Services Director Lindsey Jorstad.
