EARLY MORNING TRAILER FIRE LEADS TO DEATH OF TWO ADULTS
(Lilburn, Ga., April12, 2025) Firefighters responded at 6:01 a.m. to a neighbor’s report of a recreational trailer on fire in the woods behind the 4100 block of Bent Willow Drive in Lilburn. The 911 caller said they could see the fire across the lake and heard an explosion. Additional callers advised 911 that a person lived in the trailer, and the responding units upgraded to a residential fire response.
Upon arrival, fire crews found a well-involved recreational trailer used as a primary residence 100 feet behind the dispatched location. Firefighters deployed one 1¾-inch hose line to extinguish the flames. Fire crews completed primary and secondary searches of the remaining structure, revealing two deceased adult occupants. The remaining crews on the scene were utilized to obtain positive water and rehab for fire crews. The structure sustained heavy fire damage, and the scene was preserved for investigators.
The occupant of the primary residence on the property stated he awoke to the fire and immediately called 911. Fire Investigators responded to the scene for cause and fire determination, and it is still under investigation.
