Apply for the District Attorney’s Office Citizens Academy

Residents have an opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system.

The District Attorney’s Office will host its second citizens academy Tuesday, October 1 through Tuesday, December 3, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Sessions will be held every Tuesday in Conference Room C at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.

The program is designed to give residents a first-hand look at court proceedings with sessions from law enforcement, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges.

The academy will meet on the following dates:

  • October 1, 2024
  • October 8, 2024
  • October 15, 2024
  • October 22, 2024
  • October 29, 2024
  • November 5, 2024
  • November 12, 2024
  • November 19, 2024
  • December 3, 2024
  • December 10, 2024 - Graduation

Applications for the academy will be accepted through Friday, September 13.
