Most Residential and Commercial Annual Notices of Assessment for 2024 will be mailed in April.
An Annual Notice of Assessment is not a tax bill. The notice informs you of the value assessed on your residential or commercial real estate as of January 1, 2024.
Property owners may appeal the assessed value within 45 days of the date of the notice by submitting a completed PT-311A State Appeal Form to the Tax Assessors’ Office or by visiting Gwinnett-Assessor.com.
For your convenience and to ensure timely filing, we recommend you use the online appeal filing tools that are available. If you would prefer to file your property appeal by mailing a completed PT311A appeal form, please download the PT311A form and mail or deliver it to:
ATT: Appeals- Gwinnett County Assessors’ Office,
75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
We do suggest sending the document by a trackable method to confirm delivery. If you have any issues or concerns, please contact our office at 770.822.7200 or by email at TaxPayer.Services@GwinnettCounty.com.
Appeals must include:
- Owner’s name
- Property address and parcel number
- Reason for the appeal
- Opinion of value
