Description: The Internal Audit Intern will assist with research and preliminary information gathering for audits during the planning stage. The Internal Audit Intern will review draft deliverables as part of our Quality Assurance process, evaluating clarity and flow, and tracing audit findings to supporting documentation to confirm accuracy and sufficient evidence. The Internal Audit Intern may also help to organize prior audit files to align with standards. The internship will also include opportunities to learn more about the auditing profession as a potential career choice. Description: The Operational Excellence Intern will support the Office of Strategic Excellence (OSE) with data visualization tasks, project management and administrative duties associated with the resolution of the various Operational Performance Assessment (OPA) recommendations. The interns will work directly with OSE and OPA category members researching best practices, information gathering, documentation updates, conducting department interviews, note taking and analyzing system dashboards. District Attorney’s Office

Description: Assists with tasks set by various teams and divisions. Works closely with the Outreach team to conduct research and enter data. Assists with summer programs, such as the Junior DA and Investigator Mentorship programs. Operates switchboard and phones as needed.

Description: The Benefits Intern will support several HR divisions including Benefits Administration, Retirement, Wellness Programming, Human Resource Information System (HRIS) maintenance and data integrity, and HR process implementation and support.

The Intern will work closely with the administrative staff as they ensure the efficient and effective operations of the court. Description: Works alongside professionals in code enforcement, customer service, building inspections and building plan review, development inspections, and development plan review. Assists with current and long-range planning concerning land development, and gains insight for housing and community development initiatives.
Police Department

Description: Works in the Uniform Division and observes how Gwinnett County Police Department Officers go through their daily duties handling calls for service.
Probate

Description: The intern is introduced to all aspects of the Probate Court. They will assist in the estate office where wills, guardianship and conservatorship cases are filed. They will work in the vital records and licensing office to see how birth certificates, marriage licenses, and weapon carry licenses are issued.
