Firefighter/Paramedic Trainee:
$49,086- $62,110
Starting Salary
Plus a 3% incentive for an associate degree or a 6% incentive for a bachelor’s degree
Firemedic:
$56,807- $71,879
Starting Salary
Plus a 3% incentive for an associate degree or a 6% incentive for a bachelor’s degree
Note: Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
Specialized Unit Incentive
In-State and Out-of-State Lateral Transfers
Applicants currently or formerly employed by a full-service Department agency in any state will be evaluated case-by-case for lateral entry. NPQ Firefighter I, NPQ Firefighter II, and HazMat Operations level are required for consideration.
In-state lateral transfers may qualify for an abbreviated training program.
Retirement Benefits
Defined Contribution Retirement Plan 401(a) - Employees choose 5.0% or 7.5% contribution. The County contributes 7%. Employees are fully vested at 5 years.
