UPDATE #1: Shooting - 3639 Fence Road, Auburn - Suspects Identified

Update #1, 08/01/2017: Two suspects have been captured and one is still on the run.  At approximately 5:40pm (07/31), officers doing a ground search located suspect #2, Dylan J. Grant (age 19, Lawrenceville).  About 10 minutes after the first capture, officers located Isis C. McCloud (age 17, Athens).  It was later determined that Isis was with the suspects during the initial crime.  Though the officers did not capture suspect #1, the lead detective assigned to the case was able to identify him and secure two warrants for his arrest. 

Grant and Isis were taken to Gwinnett County Police Headquarters following their capture.  Grant was eventually charged with Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault.  He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail at 8:33pm.  Isis was charged with Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail at 8:31pm. 

The remaining suspect, Bruce Chambers (age 19, Grayson), has two active warrants for his arrest.  The warrants are for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault.  Chambers is still on the run and is considered armed and dangerous. 

The victim’s current condition is unknown. 

The motivation for the crime is still being investigated, though robbery appears to be a factor.

Original, 07/31/2017: (Auburn, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department is actively investigating a shooting at 3639 Fence Road in unincorporated Auburn.  The call came in at 3:47pm.  When officers arrived at the home, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.  He was conscious and alert talking to officers when they first arrived.  The victim is described as a black male in his early 20s.

Right after the shooting, two suspects were seen fleeing in a silver SUV.  More than a dozen patrol officers, the K9 Unit, and the Aviation Unit descended to the area to search for the suspects and their SUV. 

At 4:07pm, the 911 Center received a call of a possible traffic accident at Winder Highway and Circle Road.  The caller did not see the accident, he/she only heard it.  When officers arrived at the intersection, no vehicle was found, though they believed that the suspect vehicle may have been involved and might have some exterior damage.   

A deputy with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office found the abandoned silver SUV on Martins Chapel Road near Sugarloaf Parkway.  The vehicle had exterior damage.  Officers moved their ground search to the area when the vehicle was abandoned. 

The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.

Light skin black male, 20s, short faded haircut, 6-00 to 6-03, sleeve tattoos on both arms, wearing a black shirt

Suspect #2:

Dark skin black male, 20-25 years old, 6-00, short afro
