DETECTIVES STILL SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN UNSOLVED HOMICIDE CASE OF YOUNG MOTHER
UPDATE #3: (Grayson, Ga., November 19, 2024) Homicide detectives are once again asking for the public’s help to solve the murder of Shania Green. A stray bullet struck Shania while she was inside a home in Grayson on December 29. Since that time, investigators have continued to follow up on leads. They believe that someone may have more information about the events that led up to the shooting that night. As the one-year anniversary of the homicide approaches, detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.
UPDATE #2: (Grayson, Ga., Mar. 19, 2024) – Detectives continue to ask the public for any information regarding the shooting that left one innocent young mother deceased.
On December 29, 2023, Shania Green’s life was taken by an unknown suspect while she was at a party. Detectives believe Shania was inside the home that night when a stray bullet from an unrelated incident outside entered the house and struck Shania. Shania lost her life that night and left behind a 7-month-old baby. Detectives are urging the public to please come forward with any information that might help solve this case and bring some closure to Shania’s family.

UPDATE #1: (Grayson, Ga., Jan. 02, 2024) – The victim has been identified as Shania Green (age 18, Lawrenceville).
ORIGINAL: (Grayson, Ga., Dec. 29, 2023) – Gwinnett County Police is investigating an incident on Chance Lane that resulted in the death of one female.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m., officers assigned to the Bay Creek precinct responded to a residence on Chance Lane in reference to a person shot. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered what appeared to be a house party. Officers cleared the residence and discovered one deceased female.
Homicide detectives responded along with Crime Scene Investigators to process the scene and gather information.
