(Lawrenceville, Ga., August 20, 2024) – On August 7, Corporal Jimmy Wilson received the Partnership of The Year award at the 2024 Georgia Retailers Organized Crime Alliance (GROC) conference.

This award was a result of the investigation done by Corporal Wilson that helped bring down a multi-million-dollar criminal enterprise that was fencing stolen goods on e-commerce platforms. Corporal Wilson spent time working with retail investigators to help identify the suspects who were stealing from multiple local stores here in Gwinnett County. This included conducting jail interviews and using other investigative methods. The investigation led to multiple search warrants being executed and the recovery of tens of thousands of dollars worth of new-in-box merchandise. Corporal Wilson then began working with the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office to charge the criminal enterprise with Racketeering in Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute.
