Unsolved Homicide Anniversary

UPDATE #2 - (May 20, 2015, Lawrenceville, Georgia) Today marks the one year anniversary for the murder of Antonio Macklin. The case is still unsolved. Gwinnett County Police homicide detectives are soliciting the help of the public for information about the homicide. Anyone who has information about what happened is urged to contact Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers has partnered with the family of the victim to offer a reward of $4500 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. ORIGINAL RELEASE - (May 20, 2014, Lawrenceville, Georgia) On May 20, 2014 at approximately 12:54 a.m., Gwinnett County Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot. The location was 4407 Haynes Circle, unincorporated Snellville.

Upon arrival, officers located a black male in his thirties deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.  Investigators spoke with witnesses and learned that robbery was likely the motive for the shooting. Witnesses stated that two or three unknown males, wearing dark camouflage, entered the home brandishing guns. A struggle took place between the victim and the suspects, during which the victim was shot.  The suspects fled the scene after the shooting. The victim was identified as 35 year old, Antonio Macklin of Lithonia.
