More Charges for Armed Robbery Suspects, New Suspect Wanted
(Snellville, Georgia) Another Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery detective has obtained additional warrants against two Snellville Armed Robbery suspects and another individual. Jashon Samuels and Irving Saunders are currently at the Gwinnett County Jail facing charges in other robberies that occurred in Snellville. Samuels, Saunders, and Je’von (Jevon) Harris (age 19, Snellville) are now facing Aggravated Assault and Robbery charges.
In the early morning hours on Monday, March 28, an officer assigned to the South Precinct was dispatched to a robbery call. The officer was asked to respond to Eastside Medical Center and meet with the victim in one of the patient rooms. When the officer met with the victim, he noticed that he had significant injuries to his face. The officer noted in the report that the victim’s face looked “somewhat deformed and extremely swollen, his left eye [was] almost swollen shut, and dried blood [was] covering his face and shirt.”
The victim told the officer he was approached by 4 black males at his work. He knew the 4 males as acquaintances through South Gwinnett High School. The 4 males offered him a ride from work when his shift ended (03/27). The victim asked them to take him to a friend’s house in Snellville. The group went to the victim’s home for a quick stop, to a gas station, and Walmart to “get snacks.”
The victim went into the Walmart alone, but when he returned back outside the 4 males and their car was gone. So, the victim decided to walk to his friend’s home nearby. As he was approaching his friend’s home, he saw the 4 males standing near the car. The victim approached the acquaintances. Three of them began physically assaulting him in the face. He was eventually knocked to the ground by the beating. The suspects emptied his pockets stealing his phone and wallet.
After stealing his property, the suspects fled the area in the car, and the victim walked back home. A family member took him to the hospital.
Once the case was assigned to a detective, he was able to determine that 3 of the suspects were Jashon Samuels, Irving Saunders, and Je’von (Jevon) Harris.
Samuels and Saunders will be served with the additional warrants at the Gwinnett County Jail where they currently reside. Harris has not been placed under arrest yet.
