Update #2, 02/18/2016, 11:00am: After about 3 months of continuous investigations, the lead detective in this case has charged two suspects with the murder of Jeffery Anderson from November 24, 2015.  At this time, it is believed that this crime was a gang-related homicide. 

On November 24, at around 10:45pm, a call from the Dekalb County Police Department came into the GCPD 911 Center.  The DCPD dispatcher told GCPD that one of their officers was flagged down by passerby while on patrol.  The passerby told the officer that she had heard from a resident at 2773 River Station Court that there was possibly a deceased male inside the home. 

GCPD officers responded to the unoccupied home and found Anderson deceased inside.

Update #1, 11/25/2015, 3:00pm: The deceased victim has been identified as Jeffery Anderson (age 25).

Original, 11/25/2015, 3:00am: (Lawrenceville, Georgia)  Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, November 24, the Gwinnett County Police Department received a tip of a possible deceased male inside the home of 2773 River Station Court in unincorporated Lawrenceville. 

When the officers arrived at the home to do a welfare check, they went inside and found a young black male who was deceased.  A homicide investigator and the Crime Scene Unit were dispatched to the scene. 

First responding officers found that the victim had at least one gunshot wound, but investigators will not be able to determine if he had any other injuries until an autopsy can be performed.  At this time, we don’t know how long the victim was inside the home prior to discovering his body. 

GCPD is in the process of obtaining a search warrant to collect evidence in this case.
