Homicide at CVS
ORIGINAL RELEASE - On March 4, 2012, just before 10:00 PM, Gwinnett Police officers responded to a shooting at the CVS Pharmacy located at 1187 Grayson Highway in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital and later (March 6, 2012) died as a result of his injuries. The victim has been identified as Alex Delgado Ramos (H/M, 27 years old) of Lawrenceville.
GCPD is looking for a black male suspect who fled the scene in a newer model silver or gold Chevrolet Impala. A good description of the suspect is not available; at the time of the shooting he wore a black hat, a black jacket, dark blue jeans, and dark color shoes. The shooting seems to have taken place during the course of a robbery.

UPDATE – (January 24, 2013) The suspect in this case has been identified as Jamad Wallace (B/M, 21 years old). Detectives obtained warrants for murder and aggravated assault against Wallace on March 30, 2012. At the time of this incident, Wallace was already wanted for a shooting that occurred on December 9, 2011. Detectives obtained a warrant for aggravated assault in that case on the day the incident occurred. Wallace has been on the run since that time. Both initial incident reports are attached.
On January 23, 2013, Wallace was arrested in Dekalb County. Deputies from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office served Wallace with the outstanding warrants and transported him to the Gwinnett County Detention Center. He remains in custody without bond.
