A brand new park is on its way! Discovery Park will become the 53rd addition to Gwinnett Parks and Recreation's system. Located at the intersection of Old Norcross and Lawrenceville-Suwanee roads, this future park will offer accessibility and recreational features. Park-goers can look forward to amenities such as a lighted multiuse trail, ball fields, an interactive fountain, and an inclusive playground for children of various ages and abilities. The park is set to open to the public in 2026.
The $28 million project is funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, known as SPLOST. To learn more about how your pennies are working in Gwinnett, visit GwinnettSPLOST.com.
