Beginning March 24, Lakeview Road will be closed for approximately six months between Commonwealth Lane and Pinehurst View Drive for the bridge replacement project over Big Haynes Creek.

Commuters traveling through the area will need to follow detour routes during the closure. Westbound commuters can follow State Route 84/Grayson Parkway to Ridgedale Drive, and eastbound commuters can follow Pharrs Road to Ridgedale Drive and then State Route 84/Grayson Parkway.

The project includes the construction of a new two-lane bridge over Big Haynes Creek, replacing the existing bridge that is aging and in need of replacement to meet modern safety standards. It also includes the installation of sidewalks for safer pedestrian access, curb and gutter, and drainage upgrades to help reduce flood risks.
