For the second year in a row, Gwinnett County’s communications team is being recognized among the Southeast’s best, earning multiple nominations for the 2025 Southeast Emmy Awards.
The County received nominations for:
- Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless (Three-Part Series) – Public Affairs Program - Series
- Gwinnett Parks Gold Video – Editor – Short Form Content (Up to 10 Minutes) – Jason Tyre
Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless was hosted, written and produced by Deborah Tuff, with Brandon Davis serving as shooter and editor. This powerful three-part series shines a light on the often-overlooked realities of suburban homelessness, giving voice to individuals and families who are too often unseen.
The Gwinnett Parks Gold Medal Award Finalist video, featuring the editorial work of Jason Tyre, creatively celebrates Gwinnett County’s nationally recognized parks system. The video highlights the Gold Medal Award nomination earned by Gwinnett Parks and Recreation, one of the highest honors in the field.
Last year, Gwinnett County made history with its first-ever dual Southeast Emmy nominations and brought home a win for Upfront Gwinnett: Fighting Fentanyl. This year’s nominations build on that momentum, demonstrating the team’s continued commitment to delivering powerful, inspiring stories that serve and connect the community.
The Southeast Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on June 14 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead. Congratulations to all the nominees and everyone involved in bringing these impactful stories to life.
