Learn how to affect change in your community: Apply for the Gwinnett Youth Commission
The Gwinnett Youth Commission is a summer intensive program designed to educate youth about local government, engage them in civic affairs, and provide them with an opportunity to affect change in their community. Youth will experience behind-the-scenes tours of Gwinnett County Government, interact with government leaders, and receive community leadership training designed to foster the next generation of leaders for Gwinnett County. Applications are due Tuesday, April 15.
To be considered for the program, youth must:

Be a resident of Gwinnett County

Attend a school in Gwinnett County (Gwinnett County Public Schools, Buford City Schools, private, home, or charter schools)

Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior going into the academic year

Submit a completed application and typed essay questions
Gwinnett Youth Commissioners are representative voices of the County’s youth and serve as representatives to its elected officials.
