Donate and make a difference
We appreciate your interest in making a donation to support the fire and life safety and injury prevention initiatives of Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services. Monetary donations are tax-deductible under Section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code since we are a local government agency. You will receive a receipt for your records, and your contribution will enhance the following fire and life safety programs provided free to the community:
Keeping Gwinnett’s Children Safe
Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services provides community programs aimed at preventing accidental/unintentional injuries to children. These programs include water safety, bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, baby safe sleep, hyperthermia, sports injury, and child passenger safety seats. Your contributions will be used to purchase bicycle helmets, car seats, and educational materials for these programs.
Animal Oxygen Masks
Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services understands the importance of keeping our family pets and lifelong friends safe during a fire or other emergency. The department aims to equip each emergency response apparatus with a set of animal oxygen masks that provide supplemental medical oxygen to an animal after exposure to smoke or other hazardous atmospheres. Your contribution will help make this happen.
Smoke Alarms
Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services makes smoke alarms available for low-income, indigent, and special needs households (limit one per household). Your contribution will help ensure that smoke alarms will continue to be provided free of charge to qualified county residents.
Fire and Life Safety Educational Handouts
Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services sponsors various community presentations, informing residents about fire and life safety hazards and proper prevention measures. Contributions will be used to purchase DVDs and educational materials that will be distributed during community presentations. The department presents to schools, businesses, senior citizen groups, homeowners groups, various associations, and special needs groups.
Senior Home Safety Surveys and the SeniorBSafe Program
Fire and Emergency Services performs free home fire and life safety surveys for Gwinnett’s seniors. Your contribution will provide seniors with a safety bag containing items that can be used to make their home safe from fire and unintentional injury/fall hazards. A free smoke alarm is also made available to seniors in need during the home survey (limit one per household).
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services conducts participation classes for CPR and AED training through the zero response time programs. Contributions will be used to purchase participation cards, practice mannequins, face shields, program booklets, AED trainers, and handouts.
Thank you!
Your generous donations are appreciated; together we can help make Gwinnett County a safer place to live, work, and play for all residents!
