The County generally receives grants from the federal government, state government, foundations, and corporations.

Receiving a grant allows you to carry out a specific project that might not be fundable using general fund money. This procedure also frees up general fund monies for other purposes and allows the County to address additional community needs.

Most of the grants the County receives are designated for departments to carry out a specific task. However, some housing assistance funding is set aside specifically for eligible citizens.
