How Gwinnett County is spending federal COVID-19 funding
In early 2020, the U.S. Congress appropriated funds in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds were made possible through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, known as the CARES Act, and other supplemental legislation. In March 2021, additional funds were appropriated through the American Rescue Plan Act. Gwinnett County is using federal funding to support our community through the pandemic by focusing on several areas: housing and utility assistance; food assistance; public health; equity; infrastructure; other government entities; nonprofit services; small business assistance; and County operations.
