Magistrate Court Judge:
Judge Kimberly A. Gallant
Kimberly A. Gallant is a judge with the Magistrate Court of Gwinnett County. Judge Gallant primarily handles domestic matters, including divorces, child custody, and legitimation proceedings. She also presides over civil and felony criminal jury trials. Judge Gallant hears dispossessory proceedings, applications for restraining orders, and issues search and arrest warrants. Before taking the bench, she was a staff attorney for four years and a prosecutor for 10 years. She received her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from the University of Georgia in 1997 and graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 2000.
State Court Judge:
Judge Erica Dove
Judge Erica K. Dove is a judge in the State Court of Gwinnett County.
Before taking the bench, she began her legal career at King & Spalding, LLC in Atlanta. Judge Dove worked as an assistant solicitor general in the Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office from 2005 to 2015 where she prosecuted misdemeanor crimes and served in many capacities in all the State Court treatment courts and programs. She also served as a prosecutor for several municipal courts, including Norcross, Suwanee, Lilburn, and others.
Furthermore, Judge Dove ran her own law firm for seven years, where she served as a court appointed attorney on the Indigent Defense List in Gwinnett County, as the defense attorney on the Veteran’s Court Team in Gwinnett State Court, as well as serving as a judge in the Municipal Courts of Lilburn and Chamblee.
Judge Dove has been a resident of Gwinnett County since 1981. She attended Beaver Ridge Elementary, Sweetwater Middle, and Meadowcreek High schools. Judge Dove received her Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice e from Howard University and her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, in Washington, DC. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her rescue dog, Bentley.

Amber Goins

Amber Goins currently serves as the Calendar Coordinator to Judge Veronica Cope. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BA in Philosophy and Minors in International and African Studies. It was in college that Amber began working in the legal field about 12 years ago. She began as a legal assistant handling criminal and personal injury cases in Statesboro, GA and the Ogeechee and Chatham County Judicial circuits under the mentorship of Francys Johnson.
Once Amber graduated in 2014, she transitioned to Gwinnett County and continued in the legal field in the Gwinnett County Solicitor’s Office under the leadership of Rosanna M. Szabo. There, Amber served as a legal assistant and Victim Witness Coordinator. Amber has also served training law enforcement in Metro Atlanta as the Police Engagement Advocate for Partnership Against Domestic Violence. Amber has spent over 100 hours training first responders in the areas of best practices when responding to domestic violence calls. Amber has also served for over 5 years on the Gwinnett Family Violence Task Force in various leadership roles. She is a 2020 graduate of the Gwinnett Young Professionals Leadership Institute and 2023 Glance Gwinnett Program. She is a former board member and Vice Chair of Gwinnett Young Professionals where she now serves on the Emeritus Counsel.
Amber is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, but grew up most of her life in Dekalb County graduating from Druid Hills High School. Amber has a heart for youth and mentoring. She is happily married and the mom to her fur baby, Komet, and a soon to be first time mom. Amber enjoys competing in kickball, trying new restaurants, and watching Anime.

Dr. Rebecca Rolader Streetman

Dr. Rebecca Rolader Streetman, a South Gwinnett High School class of 1992 graduate, is the Law and Justice Program Specialist for Gwinnett County Public Schools. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia in 1997 and began teaching at her alma mater in 1998. She later went back to UGA and earned her master’s in education in 2001 and her Specialist in Education in 2004. She completed her doctorate degree from Liberty University in 2018.
Dr. Streetman has deep roots in Gwinnett County, where her parents were raised, married, and still reside. She is also the mother of two children. In her 20 years of teaching at South Gwinnett High School, she has taught various forms of business and law and has designed and written numerous curricula for students throughout the state of Georgia. Dr. Streetman was also a reviewer for the textbook, Law for Business and Personal Use (19th edition), South-Western Publishing, 2012. Most recently, Dr. Streetman was recognized as the 2022 Lillian B. Jarvis Teacher of the Year by the American Alliance for her work in law-related education.

Janese Turner is the Court Services Supervisor and has been with Gwinnett County for the past 4 years. While working for the county she has earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She is happily married and has three children and two rescued dogs. She loves reading, hiking and traveling with her family.
