PARK CONDITIONS
MAINTENANCE CLOSURES
- Harbins Park – The restrooms adjacent to the football field and the river channel are closed for waterline repair and will reopen upon completion. Port-a-lets are available for use.
- Collins Hill Park – Parking area restriping will begin the week of May 19 through completion. Please use caution in the areas and obey temporary closures:
RENOVATION CLOSURES
- The restrooms will be closed for renovations at the following parks. Port-a-lets will be available at each location until renovations are complete:
- George Pierce Park beginning August 4
- Graves Park beginning August 11
- Jones Bridge Park beginning August 11
- Little Mulberry Park beginning August 18
- Bethesda Park – The multipurpose field will be closed for renovations beginning June 30 and will reopen upon completion. Please use caution in the area.
- Bryson Park – The park entrance will be closed beginning June 17 due to The City of Lilburn's project to re-align the entrance to the park at Highway 29. The project includes a new signalized intersection and roundabout entrance to the park. Please use caution when driving in the area and obey traffic route changes.
- Dacula Park:
- The entire paved trail will be closed for significant renovations beginning Monday, June 30 and will reopen upon completion. Please obey closure notices.
- The playground adjacent to the baseball fields will be closed for renovations beginning June 16 and will reopen upon completion. Please use caution in the area.
- Dacula Park Activity Building renovations:
- The activity building at 2735 Auburn Avenue is closed for renovation construction until completion. There will be intermittent closures to the parking lot through the duration of the project, use caution when in the area. The tennis courts will be open from sunrise to sunset during construction.
- The loop road in the rear of the park and several parking spaces near the playground and pavilion will be fenced off throughout the project’s duration to allow for the construction of a connecting roadway between the park and the activity building.
- Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center:
- Construction activities are taking place around and below the boardwalk, please use caution in the area and obey any closures.
- The section of the Ivy Creek Greenway leading to the suspension bridge is closed for a Department of Water Resources project.
- Harmony Grove Soccer Complex – Field 2 is closed for renovations and will reopen upon completion.
- Hudlow Tennis Center – All courts will undergo repairs and renovations beginning June 30, closing fours courts at a time. Please obey temporary closure signage.
- Jones Bridge Park:
- The park will be closed on July 14 and July 21 for Department of Water Resources to complete a few aspects of the Wolf Creek project.
- There is construction traffic throughout the park due to a Department of Water Resources project, please use caution in the area. Call 678.376.7027 for more information.
- Rabbit Hill Park Projects:
- Soccer fields #1 and #2 will be closed for renovation beginning May 16 and will reopen upon completion. Several parking bays along the soccer field’s frontage will be fenced off and closed for contractor staging and access, please use caution while driving in the area.
- Baseball field #7 will be closed beginning May 27 as we convert the field from natural turf to synthetic turf. Several parking bays along the baseball field’s frontage will be fenced off and closed for contractor staging and access, please use caution while driving in the area.
- Shorty Howell Park
- The playground and adjacent pavilion will be closed for renovations and will reopen upon completion.
- The playgrounds at the baseball fields will be closed for renovations beginning in early July and will reopen upon completion.
- Simpsonwood Park – There is construction traffic throughout the park due to a Department of Water Resources project, please use caution while in the park. Call 678.376.7027 for more information.
