National Recreation Trails
The National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service recognizes existing trails and trail systems nationwide through National Recreation Trails. This designation offers increased visibility, enhanced tourism opportunities, and potential funding for trail maintenance and development.
Over 50 miles Gwinnett Parks' trails meet the designation criteria and have been named National Recreation Trails. This designation promotes the Gwinnett’s highest-caliber trails and highlights its commitment to outdoor recreation and the preservation of its natural resources.
