Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Elisha Winn House was constructed around 1812 in what was then Jackson County. It became part of the newly-formed Gwinnett County on December 15, 1818. The property is significant because much of the early county planning took place in this house, which also facilitated Gwinnett's first courts, elections, and jail.
