STEAM Lab
Visit our newest attraction – the interactive STEAM (Science – Technology – Engineering – Arts- Math) Lab. Kids of all ages are invited to explore different themes each month through hands-on activities highlighting the application of scientific concepts found in daily life.
Monthly themes include:
- January – Up In Space
- February – Georgia’s Forests
- March – World of Water
- April – Pollinators
- May – Amphibians and Reptiles – CLOSED MAY 27 – 31 FOR SUMMER CAMP
- June and July – CLOSED FOR SUMMER CAMP
- August – All Things STEAM
- September – Decomposers
- October – Night Animals
- November – Skies Over Georgia
- December – Dinosaurs

Sterner Stream
Named in memory of Brian Sterner, a local environmental educator, the Sterner Stream is a habitat where various turtles, fish, frogs, and aquatic macroinvertebrates swim and hide amongst a diverse collection of thriving wetland plants.
Did you know this flowing ecosystem is sourced with reclaimed water from the neighboring F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center?
