Senior Facilities News Releases

Projects focused on seniors are being funded by sales tax dollars for the first time with the 2014 SPLOST program. Four public meetings were held in October 2013 to gather input and discuss potential projects. 2018

June 26, 2018: Commissioners approve contract to renovate Norcross Senior Center

2017

August 10, 2017: Centerville Senior Center opens with ribbon cutting ceremony

2016

December 6, 2016: Buford Human Services Center will be renovated, expanded 
June 17, 2016: Officials break ground on Centerville Senior Center
May 20, 2016: Officials cut ribbon on Lawrenceville Senior Center
April 13, 2016: Commissioners approve construction for new Centerville Senior Center

2015

July 21, 2015: Lawrenceville Senior Center to close for renovation
