Approval/authorization of a Resolution adopting a Second Amendment to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Deferred Compensation Plan (the “457(b) Plan”) providing for employees to be automatically enrolled in the 457(b) Plan at a deferral rate of 3% of compensation, unless the employee affirmatively elects to defer a percentage (including zero) of compensation under the 457(b) Plan. The automatic enrollment feature will apply to (i) all participants who as of July 1, 2021, are not making deferrals at least equal to the automatic enrollment amount of 3%, and (ii) all employees who are hired or rehired on or after July 1, 2021. The amendment also provides for each participant’s deferral percentage to be automatically increased by 1% of compensation each year, up to a maximum of 10% of compensation, unless such participant makes an affirmative election to opt out of the auto-increase feature.
