  Award BL074-13, provision of landscaping maintenance services at various Gwinnett County facilities on an annual contract
  (October 04, 2013 through October 03, 2014), Department of Police Services and Department of Support Services, to the overall low bidder, North Georgia Landscaping and Construction Group, LLC, base bid $172,674.00. This contract is funded 37% by the Police Fund, 35% by the General Fund, and 28% by the Administrative Support Fund. (Staff Recommendation: Award)

   Approval/authorizationto accept a grant from MARTA for the New Freedom Act program and approval to accept a donation from FRIENDS of Gwinnett County Senior Services. These funds will allow Gwinnett County Senior Services to continue the GET IN GEAR voucher program, a transportation assistance service for disabled adults. The grant award is $182,916.00 in federal funds, with a required local match of $118,304.00. The match requirement will be funded through Senior Services General Fund ($24,304.00), FRIENDS of Gwinnett County Senior Services and program user fees ($94,000.00).   ent of Homeland Security (DHS), Georgia Emergency Management Agency(GEMA) in the amount of $3,500.00. These funds were awarded to the Gwinnett County Police Department's, Hazardous Devices Unit (HDU) and are to be used for the Explosive Detection K-9. Approval/Authorization for the Chairman or designee to execute grant documents and any other necessary documents, subject to review by the Law Department.
