Newly Registered Voters
Please review your registration date located in the box on the top left side of your precinct identification card. You must be registered on or before the established voter registration deadlines to vote in upcoming elections. View the elections schedule, which lists registration cutoff dates for specific elections.
If you do not have your card, you can request a new one on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website, call the Elections Office at 678.226.7210, or email VoterRegistration@GwinnettCounty.com.

REQUIREMENT: If you are submitting this form by mail and are registering for the first time in Georgia, you are required to submit proof of residence either with this form or when you vote for the first time.
Proof of residence includes one of the following:
- A copy of a current and valid photo ID
- A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address
You are exempt from this requirement if you are entitled to vote by absentee ballot under the Uniform and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, or if you provide your Georgia driver's license/ID number (or the last four digits of your social security number if you do not have a driver's license/ID) on this form and your identifying information is verified with a state database.
If you do not have any of the identification documents listed here, you can obtain a free photo ID for voting purposes only from the Voter Registrations and Elections office. Please call 678.226.7210 for details. Those who are entitled to vote by absentee ballot under the Uniformed and Overseas Absentee Voting Act are exempt from the ID requirement.
When you register to vote in Georgia, you are automatically registered to vote in city elections if you reside within the city limits. A second application is not required.

If you are registering to vote for the first time, complete the Voter Registration Form below in its entirety, print the form, and enclose one of the approved identifications listed above with the form. Gwinnett County Board of Registrations and Elections |
Step 3: | In approximately four to six weeks, you should receive a precinct identification card that will list your political districts and polling location. If you are unsure of your polling place, visit the Georgia Secretary of State's website. You will be shown a map of your area and where your polling location is located. |
