Gwinnett officials unveiled the expanded Ivy Creek Greenway at George Pierce Park in April, connecting the park with Westbrook Road. As a part of the 2018 Gwinnett Countywide Trails Master Plan, the greenway trailhead offers amenities such as a bike repair station, benches, and bioretention areas. It includes a ¾-mile section of greenway with a 12-foot-wide concrete mul¬tiuse trail. The Permatrak prefab concrete boardwalk structure also includes overlooks and a pedestrian bridge that spans Suwanee Creek. The $3.7 million project was funded by the 2017 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program, known as SPLOST.
