As summer temperatures rise, Gwinnett County wants residents to know how to find relief from the heat. While the County doesn't operate specific cooling centers, it provides ample opportunities to cool down at its public facilities.
Our public facilities, including County parks and the Gwinnett Community Resource Centers (formerly known as OneStop Centers), are all air-conditioned and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to visit these community spaces to escape the heat. These sites provide drinking fountains to stay hydrated, while some include pools and other aquatic amenities for all ages. Interactive fountains at E.E. Robinson Park in Sugar Hill and Graves Park in Norcross also add a playful way to cool down.
All Gwinnett County public facilities are accessible to everyone. For anyone needing assistance beyond just cooling down, contact One Stop for Help by:
- Phone at 770.822.8850
- Email at OneStopHelp@GwinnettCounty.com
- The Online Assistance Request Form
- In-person at the Gwinnett Senior Services Center in Lawrenceville or a Gwinnett Community Resource Center in Buford, Centerville, or Norcross
